Antique Edwardian French Baby Bonnet Baby Cap of Silk, Lace and French Ribbonwork Trim
May I offer:
From France (purchased by me in Paris about 20 years ago) and dating to the early 1900s  or so may I offer this baby bonnet – doll bonnet  – baby cap of silk (inside lining), organza, lace and ribbonwork trim.  The bonnet has a patina of age, slight browning, and the ribbon work trim has been cut in small sections to decorate the top edge of the bonnet.  Floral coloring is baby pink and baby blue with green rococo sides.
Condition:   The outside is fine – the inside does have shattered silk in some places.  There are no ties.
Size:   Width at the back gusset is 4-1/2″; height from bottom of back to top measures about 5″.
Final Comments:   Absolutely adorable and I’m sorry I didn’t have a mannequin head to take a better photo!  Would work for a doll or a mannequin or, if the interior is redone, for a baby!
